Louder Than A Bomb bout at Columbia College

This year, Community Links High School has been able to offer Poetry club as an After School Matters Apprenticeship program in which students learn valuable writing and performance skills while earning a stipend. Several students have gone above and beyond, however, working overtime to participate in Louder Than A Bomb, a festival to celebrate teen spoken word poetry. These teens (Kevin Ramirez, Jennifer Nunez, Cecilia Garcia, and Nayeli Lozano) have each worked hard on individual poems and also created a group poem. On February 20, 2019, they performed their poems in their first bout at Columbia College, competing against teams from three other schools. Wish them luck as they prepare for their second bout on February 27, 2019!
