The film focuses on the deep inequalities in America's education system that are keeping millions of students in digital darkness. Without A Net, narrated by Academy and Grammy Award® winner Jamie Foxx, which premiered on National Geographic at 10 p.m. ET on Tuesday, September 26th, spotlights the 'haves' and 'have nots' as it relates to technology in classrooms and presents the emotional and economic impact on students who lack access. We are PROUD to announce Spry Community Links High School has been awarded a $100,000 grant from the New Chance Arts & Literature fund- from Chance the Rapper and his non-profit Social Works! Staff have worked hard alongside CPS and Ingenuity to plan how the arts money will be utilized. Our current college and career space will be revamped and redesigned into a high tech arts and media lab so that our students can utilize their talents, genius and creativity. We are honored to work for this community and our youth. We will give them tools to empower themselves and their community through the Arts and education.
